Ten on Tuesday

Holy smokes. I haven't been blogging much but lots has been happening. Here's what's been going on:

1. First and foremost.....SCHOOL'S OUT FOR SUMMER!

A half-day yesterday wrapped it up. All in all I would say that the boys had great years! They had great teachers, made great friends, didn't miss a day of school and came home with report cards that made me proud. I can't ask for much more. Well, maybe some sunshine....

2. This has been the yuckiest June I can remember...ever. We haven't seen much sun at all and we've had cool temps and rain. The amazing thing is that neither Luke nor the big boys have missed one baseball game due to rain-out. Truly amazing. And I'm just thankful that the boys have actually been in the pool a handful of times despite this miserable weather. Here are Ben and his best bud the other morning. The pool is only about 72 degrees!

3. Luke wrapped up his T-ball season last weekend. I was so proud that he made it through with a good attitude! He was more than excited to receive his first ever trophy!

4. Jack played in an All-Star game this past weekend. Turned out he was the only one who raised his hand as a catcher so he played the whole game in that position. I was a proud mama. He did a great job.

His mood turned a little sour when he was thrown out stealing third, but overall it was a great game.

5. Two more games left for the big boys. Their record is 10-1-1 and they are currently in second place in their division of 15 teams.

6. About a week before school ended Jack came home from school with a little gift for Chica. His teacher is pretty neat and would pay the kids "money" for good work and good deeds. The kids would accumulate their money and at the end of every month the teacher would hold an auction where they could bid on and buy stuff. Jack used the rest of his money to buy his sister an adorable purse. My heart....

7. As a follow-up to Luke's debut as batboy of his brothers' team, he came to their next game all dressed up in Jack's practice jersey and grey pants to match the team. That job quickly ended when he innocently ran to pick up a bat while the ball was still in play. He almost got in the middle of a huge play at home and everyone watching gasped in horror as Luke almost got taken out. One of the coaches yelled out and that pretty much ended his interest in being a batboy.

8. We had some special visitors last weekend. Our special friends from NJ. It was a whirlwind visit and we didn't get a ton of time to hangout with baseball games, but I did get a couple of pictures of the crew.

Chica and my adorable Goddaughter, Audrey. She is getting so big and is so darned cute. She was a busy girl checking out all of the unfamiliar toys.

Luke and his buddy, Henry. We don't see these two at all when they're together. They get immersed in Legos, Playmobil and dress-up.

And last but certainly not least, Old Man Scout.

10. Guess who's turning three in 5 days?
