Self

July's RAW contest on Boston.com was for self-portraits. My entry was simply executed and a simple message as to who I am. The only false impression here is that I actually sit. There are many really cool photos entered that seem to have used unique ideas and advanced photo-processing. We'll see how it goes!

Dog Days of Summer

It's about half-way through summer and I officially have begun to lose track of the date and day of the week. I think that's a good thing. Most mornings find us waking up late and staying in our pajamas for half the morning.

Buddy has been chillaxin' quite a bit as well. When he's not staying cool in the whole he dug underneath our holly bush out front, we can find him sprawled out on his back in the middle of the family room floor.

I have a feeling he didn't spend too many days in an air-conditioned house when he was living in TN. I'm thinking that he's pretty content where he's at now. What do you think?

Life is good.

June's RAW Contest

I swear I have been taking lots of photographs even though my blogging has been nonexistent. I just saw the Top 50 for Boston.com's monthly photo contest and my photo was chosen! The theme for June was Lines and Curves and my the photo I submitted was one of a rhododendron bush outside of our window. I thought the picture had a good combination of lines and curves. Yeah!

Lost But Not Forgotten

I lost a month of blogging. These four little angels and all of their activities and commitments left me blogless. Lots of pictures were taken and have yet to be shared. But for now, a quick recap.

Why was June so busy, you may ask? Well, there were 14 baseball/Tball games with a practice or two per week...Chica's year-end school show, 7 birthday parties attended (present shopping too!)...one birthday party given (Chica turns 4!)....guitar lessons, field days....2 teacher's and one bus driver gift organized...3 halfdays of school...game snacks...trophies ordered and picked up...a couple of appointments....LOTS of pictures taken....and all the regular daily activities of cleaning, shopping, cooking, laundry, lawn mowing, etc. Oh, and did I mention paper organizing? Four kids bringing home every paper, folder, pencil holder, art project. I'm tired just thinking about the craziness of June.

But June was a nice month. Summer officially started and the pool is open and getting lots of use. Baths have taken a back seat to nightly dips in the pool. Flowers bloomed, the grill has been busy and we're all ready for summer.

Chica and I spent a lot of quality time together in June.

And my boys have made me proud in both school and on the ball fields.

Lost but not forgotten.
